The new compilation CD, Tracks, (which features tunes from all 3 of my albums, harmony vocals by David Crosby, Graham Nash & Martin Sexton, guitar wizardry by Jeff Pevar & Jim Chapdelaine, bass by jazz phenom François Moutin) is here. BIOS

Dana Pomfret: Albums: Tracks, realtime, Soul Collage, Talk: songwriter, vocalist, arranger, co-producer: acoustic guitar, keys, percussion, recording engineer.

Dana Pomfret is a singer-songwriter from NYC, now living in New England. She has recorded her original music for Elektra, SBK & Warner Bros. Records: her first CD, Talk, was an independent venture which led to a deal with Warner International. Dana is signed to a publishing deal with Jean Davoust/Paris. Her music is used commercially & in film production throughout Europe.

Dana’s second disc, Soul Collage, was released on Warner in Europe, Japan and Australia, and independently in the US. The CD features her eloquent, blues-inflected songs and vocals, as well as shining guest performances by rock legends David Crosby and Graham Nash, guitar wizardry by co-producer Jeff Pevar, vocal fire by Martin Sexton & the singing bass of François Moutin. Dana’s 3rd album, realtime, released in Spring, 2003, was co-produced by Emmy Award winning composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Jim Chapdelaine, (see his bio below).

's wide mix of styles embraces everything from soulful, 36-track, sonic tapestries to raw, live vocal/guitar duets to an exotic arrangement of a traditional French folk song. Check out the reviews on the 'Reviews & News' page.

Dana cut her teeth on New York City's rock & folk institutions: CBGB's, The Bitter End, Tramps, The Lonestar & the Bottom Line. She has performed throughout the US & Europe.

In addition to producing 4 original albums, Dana has recorded the vocals for feature films ‘Jumping at the Boneyard’ (produced by Lawrence Kasdan, starring Tim Roth and Samuel Jackson) and ‘Zero Cool’ (composer for both films: Steve Postell): written and recorded the music for Internews Indonesia’s first women’s radio programming (which brought current health information to the women of Indonesia for the first time): performed, with Marina Belica, to benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition & lent her pipes to multitudinous jingles & albums.

All pressings of Talk, Soul Collage and realtime are sold out. Dana’s fourth CD, Tracks, (a compilation featuring songs from her 3 previous discs) features guest performances by David Crosby, Graham Nash, Martin Sexton. François’ outstanding musicality powers the heartbeat in a plethora of musical combinations. He cofounded the Moutin Reunion Quartet with identical twin brother, drummer Louis Moutin. Their CDs, ‘Power Tree‘ & 'Red Moon,' have received excellent reviews worldwide. Recent successes for the quartet include performances at Saratoga & Montreal Jazz Festivals, The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, an appearance on Branford Marsalis’ NYC radio show.
